For children in the Junior classes (Reception) and above, uniform is mandatory. For younger dancers it’s optional.

Nursery & Pre-School Ballet

Whilst uniform is not mandatory for children in the pre-school classes, we do find that they enjoy wearing it.

However should you have your own tutu’s then this is fine and for boys, leggings or shorts is great. We do recommend ballet shoes are worn and these can be purchased from us.

RAD Pre-Primary & Primary Ballet

Pink capped sleeve leotards and pink skirt with tights or socks.

For boys, navy shorts and a light blue t-shirt is required.

Hair secure and off the face (ballet buns ideal).

Grades 1, 2 & 3 Ballet

Lavender sleeveless leotards with the matching belt are now worn and character skirts and shoes are required.

Boys now wear boys ballet leotards and leggings as opposed to shorts.

Grade 4 & 5 Ballet

A navy leotard is now worn. Higher heeled (Cuban) character shoes are worn and split sole Ballet shoes. We offer the girls the options to wear short navy ballet shirts.

Boys uniform remains the same.

Grade 6 and Vocational Grades Ballet

We allow the dancers to feel a bit more grown up at this stage, and during class are allowed to wear leotards and skirts of choice. Ballet shoes and tights must be worn.

For grade 6-8 exams, navy leotards and long skirts are worn, long with character kit.

For vocational exams a plain black leotard is worn along with skirts/tutus required for variation

Boys uniform any colour male leotard and leggings.

Contemporary and Lyrical

We allow the dancers to wear any clothing they feel comfortable in. Most choose shorts, leggings or joggers with a leotard or top.

Bridge Ballet merchandise is able to be worn and is available to purchase from our shop.

Depending on the section of the class, dancers will be instructed to wear socks or bare feet. Foot thongs (undies) or half soles may also be work.

Knee pads are recommended for some elements of contemporary work.

Dancers are able to wear any clothing that is suitable to move in and that the teacher can see the lines of the body. For this reason we do not recommend baggy clothing. Shorts, leggings, leotards and tighter tops are ideal.

Bridge Ballet merchandise is able to be worn and is available to purchase from our shop.

Depending on the section of the class, dancers will be instructed to wear socks or bare feet.

Particular kit such as therabands and pilates ball will be recommended to be purchased.
